Optimum Motorsport - 2013.
For the 2013 British GT Championship a chance encounter at Silverstone led to me taking photos for one of Rick Parfitt Junior's sponsors. Rick was driving in the GT4 class for Optimum Motorsport in a Ginetta G55 alongside his teammate, Ryan Ratcliffe.
Having never done anything like this before it was a fantastic experience to get closer to the racing action as well as providing photos for the sponsors newsletters and website. Through this I was lucky to attend two tracks I'd never visited before - Snetterton & Brands Hatch - as well as being able to get on the grid of the Silverstone race.
Rick & Ryan would go on to have a great season, winning several races and ending the season as GT4 class champions.
For me, it was a fantastic experience and one I won't forget in a hurry!
